Tomorrow a significant number of far-right activists, from across the UK, are planning on protesting in central London and are intent on violence following inflammatory statements by leading politicians.
We have seen messages in which far-right activists discuss attacking pro-Palestinian protestors, anti-fascists and ethnic minorities. These threats should be taken seriously.
Former English Defence League leader Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, aka Tommy Robinson, has been calling for his supporters to mobilise. Turning Point UK (TPUK) have called a protest, as have individuals formerly associated with the Football Lads Alliance (FLA).
We are aware of multiple meeting points for the far-right on Saturday. These are:
- Parliament Square (10am, TPUK)
- Victoria station (9am, former FLA)
- Embankment tube station (10am, former FLA)
From these meeting points, they will converge on Parliament Square and Whitehall.
Far-right activists will likely target people travelling through central London displaying any clothing, flags or signs which identify them as attending the Palestine Solidarity Campaign march.
