Members of the fascist Homeland Party gleefully sang a racist song in German calling for the deportation of foreigners outside their poorly attended conference in Derbyshire earlier today (📹 via source).
The conference was held at Wirksworth Town Hall in the Derbyshire Dales. Although it was promoted in advance on the party’s website and social media, the location was kept secret, only revealed to ticket-buyers at the last minute.
We revealed the location of the secret conference before it started, leading to several local residents protesting outside the venue, with nearby businesses making clear their opposition.
When it finished, Homeland members were filmed leaving the town hall one by one, protected by police, some hiding their faces, while anti-fascist counter-protestors chanted “fascist scum” at them. ✊
As is typical of neo-Nazi groups like Homeland, the booking appears to have been made under false pretences. Councillors claimed to be unaware that the venue had been booked by fascists. Catering was provided by the local firm Zest 4 Events.
Homeland tries to project a professional and mainstream aesthetic, with mixed results. Attendance at their conference barely extended beyond the small group of odd young men who split from the fascist group Patriotic Alternative on Hitler’s birthday in April 2023.
