Traditional Britain Group Secret Conference Venue Exposed

The far-right Traditional Britain Group (TBG) is currently holding its secret conference in the ballroom of the £2,000-a-night St Ermins Hotel, Caxton Street, SW1H 0QW. This is the same venue they used last year.

Please let the hotel know what you think about them hosting this gathering of fascists, racists and neo-Nazis by calling them on 020 7222 7888 and emailing them at [email protected]. You could also fill in their contact form.

The TBG conference is a key networking event for the British far right. The location is kept secret and only revealed to attendees the day before. Speakers have included representatives of European governments and figures from prominent far-right parties across the continent.

The first of these conferences was addressed by a then little known American called Richard Spencer as well as a former member of the House of Lords. TBG emerged in 2001 following the demise of the Conservative Party-aligned Monday Club and the far-right Western Goals Institute.

The Monday Club was a white supremacist organisation started by members of the Conservative party in 1961, who were unhappy about the end of British rule in southern Africa. The club went on to exert a significant influence on Conservative government policy.

With the end of apartheid in South Africa and the collapse of the USSR, the Monday Club faded into irrelevance. Then in 2001, as part of an attempt to appear less racist, the Conservative Party cut ties with the club. Some sitting MPs and peers are former members.

TBG was founded by a former leading figure in the Monday Club called Gregory Lauder-Frost. Lauder-Frost is a former accountant who lives in Mordington, Berwickshire. Lauder-Frost was fined £500 in 2019 for sending racist and threatening messages to a student on Facebook.
