Fascists Appear on Camera at Secret Conference

Fascist party Patriotic Alternative (PA) held a secret conference for their members near Milton Keynes this weekend. PA’s previous conference - which was advertised in advance, with tickets available to non-vetted supporters - was disrupted after we revealed the venue.

PA claim 150 supporters attended, a significant decline from the 240 they say attended their previous conference, held in Cumbria in October 2021. The disruption to their last event has forced PA to increase their security measures, resulting in fewer attendees.

PA have released photographs of a number of key activists and organisers, several who have opted to show their faces for the first time, and some of which we have already identified.

In 2016, Richardson stood as a Green Party candidate in local elections in Stockport. Richardson’s involvement illustrates how PA have been able to attract racists from a range of political backgrounds, such as London regional organiser Nicholas Hill, a former Liberal Democrat.

Also pictured is Barry Chappell, a longtime resident of Guildford and a business development manager for consultancy firm Shriem.

A hobbyist war re-enactor, Chappell attended the anti-BLM “statue defenders” protest in central London in June 2020 and has been active in PA’s South East region since at least September 2020.

Another PA activist pictured for the first time is Matthew Darrington, from the East Midlands region. Darrington, uses the online alias “Uber Mensch”.

Darrington attended PA’s national hike and camp in the Edale valley in July 2021. Darrington also attended the anti-BLM “statue defenders” protest in central London in June 2020.
